Debut Album OUT 20/03/2014

In recent times the London underground has witnessed an explosion of Afrobeats with musicians and music lovers of all descriptions finding themselves exploring its offerings.

At its core Afrodizzie is a group of friends that share this passion for music from the dark continent. The collective includes some of the most talented young musicians from the South East London music scene as well as former Egypt 80 (Fela Kuti) musician Rotimi Afariougun.

The project started in 2008 when Rotimi, Byron and Pablo penned their first song Quench. After 2 years of informally recording ideas and turning life experiences into songs, an evocative collection of music was spawned that was crying out for a big band to play.

Since January 2012 Afrodizzie has turned from a studio project to a fully operational conglomerate of like-minded individuals who meet to offload their 'High-Life', 'Soukous' and 'Afrobeat' compositions.

With smash shows at Passing Clouds and the Hootananny Brixton behind them, Afriodizzie is ready to release their debut album Masta Copy. The album includes the powerful riposte to the 'Arab Spring', the single Solid as well as the post-specials afro classic Rozza. Out on March 20th 2014 in all the major online shops.
